Being Bold

I am teaching people to be bold and go outside their comfort zones, and in order to do that I need to be bold myself. So, even though this has felt scary for me, I need to share it:

For the last six years I have been working with companies to make them more collaborative, creative, bold, resilient and FUN. I love this work, and I feel it brings me loads of joy and also contributes a lot to the world. I know the transformational power there is in the work I do. Bringing the best of what I have learned as an actor and an improviser and sharing it with the corporate world has created some valuable results for my clients.

However, I have basically kept this side of my career under wraps. In the past, I have chosen not to fully share it with the world. I have only shared my acting projects. A big part of me was scared that by embracing this corporate side of me, I would diminish my identity as an actor. Creating the identity of an actor, was already challenging enough. It took years to get to the point where I could fully make a living and support my family as an actor. You are always so vulnerable as an actor as well, constantly being judged and rejected.

I have now found the courage to marry these two parts of me and for the last 6 months I have really committed hard to building my corporate business, and fully embracing it, and it is really starting to blossom. I realised that these two identities don’t need to be separate. In fact, they compliment each other. Helping people get the most out of themselves and being more authentic, has helped me realise I need to embrace me. All parts of me.

Part of this process is putting it out in the world more. So I had a video made of what I do. Check it out.
